Graduate Department of Public and Healthcare Administration
In our rapidly changing, global society, the mission of the Graduate Department of Public and Healthcare Administration is to build leadership capacity to address quality-of-life issues. We believe that, in fulfilling this charge, our primary responsibility lies with the current and future leaders and managers of health care, nonprofit, public service and cultural arts organizations. Within an interdisciplinary and culturally diverse setting, the center is committed to:

  • providing graduate education programs;
  • conducting applied research;
  • offering continuing education and professional development programs; and
  • promoting service by our students, faculty and the broader Seton Hall community.

Career Center
Seton Hall University’s Career Center provides a high touch and high tech career education and recruiting environment for its students, alumni, and employers. Preparing students to be leaders in their professional and community lives is the Center’s mission.

The Career Center is known for its strong relationships across the Seton Hall campus and endless efforts to develop strong partnerships with employers and alumni. Career professionals guide students with decisions about selecting an academic major, discovering one’s calling and vocation, and developing lifelong professional skills.

Institute for Service Learning
The Institute for Service Learning (ISL) was created in 1997 to coordinate the activities of Seton Hall University as it implements service learning on campus.

The Institute for Service Learning is funded by the Lilly Project (see the Center for Vocation and Servant Leadership site for additional information). ISL is implementing two new initiatives: the SHELLS program and the Community Renaissance program. The SHELLS program supports service learning activities on campus and the Community Renaissance program will engage our community neighbors, and Seton Hall faculty, students and staff in service through community building projects.
